Man Arrested With Rifle At North Barricade of the U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON — A 64-year-old Louisiana man was arrested today after drove up to the North Barricade of the U.S. Capitol and told Capitol Police officers that he had a delivery for President Obama.
After further questioning by the officers, the man — Alfred Brock of Winnfield, La. — admitted to having a rifle in his vehicle. He was arrested without incident and was transported to USCP HQ for processing.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the U.S. Capitol Police swept the truck that was driven, as well as the immediate area of the North Barricade at Delaware and Constitution Avenue, NE to ensure that nothing of a hazardous nature was found,” police said in a statement. “All tests were clear with nothing hazardous found. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest recovered several rounds of ammunition.”

Brock has been charged with Possession of Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition.
