BAIJI, Iraq, Aug. 22, 2007 — Fourteen soldiers were killed Wednesday after a helicopter crashed in northern Iraq, the military said.
It appears a mechanical malfunction, not hostile fire, caused the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter to crash. The military says an investigation into the crash is underway.
